With over 200 years of continuous operation, it has weathered floods, fires, tornadoes, and Prohibition without ever stopping production. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2013.
During your two hours here, guests participate in a guided tour of the distillery — historic warehouses, the bottling hall, the fermentation and distillation facilities — and a tasting. While we enjoyed the tours I felt this did not live up to the price. The van was older than expected. We were rushed at Churchill Downs and at Woodford Reserve our tour was pushed back without asking us. On the whole, just not a great experience. (Note: operator disputes the vehicle description and states a 2024 Ford Transit was assigned.)
